PHD的全称是Peter Hutchinson Designs，Peter Hutchinson是其创始人的名字，公司成立于1998年，设计和制造都在英国。公司的理念是“make the best gear we know how”，其LOGO中标明Mountain Software，主要产品有睡袋（羽绒和化纤都有）和衣服，不过最出名的还是睡袋。
PHD的第一款产品就是Minimus系列超轻睡袋，采用800蓬松度羽绒和M1 Microfibre面料。下面这款Minim 800 Down Sleeping Bag和水电兄的SA800有得一拼。
